Hi to all, I am new here in this forum. It's really great. First of all i would like to thanks to JavaRanch.com to have such a nice forum for all the java people. And also i would like to Congratulate all the XML certified guys and to Kelly. I am preparing for xml cert(IBM). Crawling through the web i got this site. I got lots of information for the cert. exam from the threads available. I am from a non IT background and just came out in the market of jobs after an E-comm course from a reputed institute. I expect some practical and real world answers from u all guys. 1) As a fresher and from a not IT background will the XML certification help in getting a good job in the present situation. Or is there any other certification that will help me in getting a job. 2) How about the ORACLE DBA or DBO. I am waiting answer from all those who think there advise will help and from Kelly and Ajith too.... Regards uday

my humble opinion the more important thing is : What do you want to do? What makes you happy? To go ahead and get certified for the sake of certification is worthless unless it means something to you. If you just want to do it for a quick bucks M$ has hundreds of tracks!? just use our search link to see few ,10+ , posts related to this topic certification, experience Cert VS Experience etc. good luck on your quest
