hi to all

i m begginer in java........but i m preparing to write scjp1.4 on 6th october...i had gone through the sun webpage,in that they have mentioned that scjp1.4 exam will have short answers too...can anyone please give me an example for these short questions...please very urgent...

I would suggest you prepare for SCJP 1.5 or 1.6. The SCJP 1.4 will be retired very soon (about a month or two to go).

The questions on the SCJP1.4 exam will be long(usually programs), but will have short answers, usually the output. Most of the answers would contain 'Code will not compile' and 'Will throw an exception at runtime' as the options. For specific examples, please refer the 'SCJP Programmer' book by Kath Sierra and Bert Bates. The exam often tests some theoretical parts, like methods in API of specific class etc. Maybe, thats what Sun meant by 'Short Answers' in their website, I guess. But, if you have thoroughly read that SCJP Programmer book, you need not worry about anything else. All the best for the exam.
