urgent help- how to get images on pc be of type 3d

hi every body
am new to java i even did not finish the 1st.core java book ....anyway i must prepare for a project to be made using java to be used with linux and then this device that uses op.sys.(linux)transferes all its images to a pc that uses(windows )as op.sys. which also transferes these images or photos to 3D images..
how easy....
pls any body help me how to start or even where to search for any thing that can help me

Perhaps it falls under the well known category: Sometimes customers /project managers/ company owners / managers just don't know what they are talking about
