Howdy! Well, is there any way in the world, that I can read output from a printer connected on the parallel port on my box?? Well, the Win32 implementation of the parallel port, shipped with JCA, has a method to set the port type to a bi-directional ( or anything other than LPT_MODE_SPP, which is unidirectional ) but this method throws an UnsupportedCommOperationException, if the port type is NOT 1 ( 1 signifies LPT_MODE_SPP )
I am stuck.. I cant read from the parallel port, the pin status.. and I the damn printer wouldnt give me an outofpaper status... ( and the so helpful method always tells me there is paper... paper or now.. ( Lupo
