Howdy all, I am trying to send a mail msg through Tomcat4.1/Apache2 connecting to JAMES but I am receiving an error upon instantiating the servlet.
I have mail.jar and activation.jar defined in my classpath. All servlets, other than this one, work fine.
Any suggestions?
Thanks much!

Did u added mail.jar and activation.jar files into the lib folder of ur context in tomcat.Alos note that sometimes u need to restart the tomcat if you added any new jar files into ur lib directory.

Balaji,
That was it! I searched the archives saw that the jar files had to be copied over. I almost ignored your post when I double checked. I copied them to the wrong folder!!! The SendMailServlet now works.
Why is it that setting the classpath isn't enough?
Is there documentation saying you have to add activation.jar & mail.jar to the common/lib directory? I must have missed it...
Thank you very much!

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
