Could you explain what you are trying to do?
I am moving this to Other API's because it sounds like you are trying to do something with the java mail API. But maybe not.

So it sounds like you are wanting to launch a New Message window for Outlook Express from a Java App and upon opening this New Message window, you want to populate to the To: and From: fields.
Well, if this is indeed what you want to do, with pure java, you could probably launch Outlook Express and you might even be able to launhc a New Message window provided Outlook Express was the users default Email client.
However, prepopulating any fields in that window is not possible with pure java. You would have to use JNI.
Now, with that being said, there is an alternative. Why don't you use the JavaMail API to send your messages. You can construct a very simple GUI window to simulate a New Message window using SWING or AWT. And with this you can programmatically insert values from a Database.

hi gregg,
i need to do it with outlook express. outlook express and my java client should be integrated. if for that i need to know native code, then i will follow that example. but i am new to native code. is there any code in nativejava to integrate outlook express with my java client program. as i told u before my java client has a button which on clicking pops the outlook express with all the addresses in the to,cc,bcc, subject and body sections.
on clicking the send button it goes to the email server which should be integrated with my java server program which has 2 parts a reciever program and a sender program. the reciever program should receive the email address found in the to section and check its validity. if the email address is valid then i have to store it to the database else i should not.
then if the email address is valid i have to send it to the sender java program which will in turn send it to the internet. "in short i need to send an outlook message through my java program to the internet". Any help is appreciated. also can u send me some examples for jni and javamail.
