Some job adverticements list the functions and requirements of the positions; however, their contact e-mail addresses are yahoo.com or hotmail.com. Are these adverticement suspecious? Should I be cautious in sending my applications?

I would be. If I can't find independent information about the company that is advertising, then I treat the add like a fake.
