Adding these: Carnegie Mellon University (usually ranks #1 for PhD in CS) Stanford Berkley University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign Princeton Here's the link http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/college/rankings/engineering/phd/computer.htm Not sure about Duke or Brown for CS though... The cool thing about Berkeley (or any Univ. of Calif. campus) is that if you're a resident of the state of California, tuition is dirt cheap. It's gone up some since when I was there in the '80's but I paid $500 per semester for all the units I could take.
