hi guys i have completed my programming certification but still out of job.I think so the programming level is only the first step.i am planning for exploring java in depth like going for enterprise java bean, the developer exam, & then for java arcitechure please anyone who has knowledge about these plaese help me out & then please frankly say is there it worth doing java in depth because people say java is now no more plaese help me

It depends, I am with a IT firm currently without a PROGRAMMER CERT.
But actually, more certs will do better than none. So I often haunt here for learning sth from Corey, Rob, and other masters of Java :-)

You had to have some experience in Java for finding a serious job.
BTW, have you tried to find job in internet?

I fear you are making a faulty inference, that the fact that you don't have other certs is why you don't have a job. I have to wade through a lot of resumes and then phone screen candidates; certs help, but they probably only account for 10 or 20 percent of my reaction to a resume.
1) Get experience; see if you can find a company with an internship program. If not, look for a not-for-profit that needs volunteers to do technical work for them, Java or otherwise.
2) If you will be working in North America or the UK, work on your English, both written and spoken. Being able to communicate effectively is part of the skill set you will be evaluated on by a hiring manager, either officially or subconsciously. While it is a great accomplishment to have learned English at all, you will still be at a disadvantage if other candidates with similar skills are obviously much more fluent in the language. This probably accounts for half of the reaction to your resume and any initial phone screen conversation.
The skills you used to study for the programmer cert can equally be applied to other non-technical job skills. Build yourself into a well-rounded candidate, and you'll improve your chances of getting the job you want.
