I want to send an attachments with an Excel File. I have no problem to send the message. Then I compose the same message with outlook with the same excel file like attachment but when I compare the two files there are differences (the excel file send by outlook have a different size, it's a little more big).
The files should be of same size. As long as you are able to open the file successfully ..its fine.
However, ur windows shows the amount of space it taking rather than the actual size of the file. You should check the actual size of the file by seeing it properties (right click the file and properties... do not see the size on disk ) ...
Let us know if the size of file is same or not .

When I send and XML file or a TXT file the sended files are the same size. The problem is only with the attached excel files. This is an example of my problem:
Excel file sended with my application: size: 50688 bytes size on disk: 53248 bytes
Excel file sended with outlook: size: 53 248 bytes size on disk: 53 248 bytes
Original file: size: 50 688 bytes size on disk: 53 248 bytes
I’ve looked at a lot of different solutions, and in my humble opinion Aspose is the way to go. Here’s the link: http://aspose.com
