Does anyone know if the Java Communications API works with Windows?

I am at Sun's download site for it (http://www.sun.com/download/products.xml?id=43208d3d) and there is no mention to download for Windows.

I am trying to write an application that will auto-configure some modems connected to the serial port of laptops running Windows XP.

Thanks in advance,
Adam

It worked with Windows a few years ago when I wrote an application based on it. Last I heard the application was still running.

But from your link it looks like Sun has decided to stop supporting the Windows version. Or at least my internet searches don't find the obvious Windows download. But I did find an old link from Google's cache:

http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:T-nFsayCYpkJ:java.sun.com/products/javacomm/downloads/+javax.comm+Windows+download

You can still download javacomm20-win32.zip from a link on that page, for what it's worth.
