Interesting article on how some people are getting noticed in a pile of resumes. I think most are gimmick. I do like the idea of CD presentations, and have a friend who has a company which produces them. Boston Globe 6/9/02 http://bostonworks.boston.com/globe/articles/060902_gimmick.html Tight market leads many to gimmicks Job seekers get creative to get noticed by prospective employers
Some are using the gimmick of putting a resume in a plaster leg cast to get a foot in the door. Still others are volunteering videos and other elaborate presentations that companies can use even if they don't hire the enterprising candidates.

I know a girl who was so much frustrated in searching for a job that she send her shoe along with the resume to the employer stating that "I am very much tired of searching for the job you can have an idea by looking at my shoe that how much I've walked to search for a job I am desperate please give me this job " And surprisingly she gets a job

I am an Indian, but I think I did not mention that I am searching for a job in Germany. German people are too fussy, either they create problems in the skills or the Spoken Language. I know 6 languages fluently, but I aint very good at German, so they say they need a fluent German Speaker like the native ones. God knows when will I get my Work Permit to Germany.
