Hi all,
I have 16 months of experience as a software engineer. I have a bachelor's degree in electronics and instrumentation engineering and now I have an opportunity to pursue masters degree in information/communication systems in a German university. The course is good. Should I take it or not?? If yes I need to quit my job. But then this course is for 2 years and so market will definitely be better after 2 years. And then I also will have an option to go for PhD..
Regards,
steve

It depends on your goals, your financial situation, what the school offers and how well that meets your immediate and long term goals, how you feel about any possible relocation, etc. You really need to come up with a list of questions to ask yourself and see how well this program meets them.

Hi Mark,
My graduation being not in Computer science, I want to fill in this void by doing masters in computer science or allied field. The above mentioned degree offers a good combination of computer science, networking and communication subjects. So the name information/communication systems. I may also go ahead and pursue my PhD in computer science. But I am hearing discouraging words because I need to quit my existing job(first one). And one more reason being the slowdown, people are against my qutting this job. But then I may not get this opportunity again to pursue masters, so I dont want to miss this. I have decided to go for the masters. All these doubts made me post this message so that someone can guide me or suggest.
Regards,
Steve.
