Hello all,
I need help regarding sending email from a jsp page (not with outlook). i also need the full procedure regarding installing the necessary things for this

Did you try Google for it. If not then try these keywords "send email in jsp" you will find lots of example with code in JSP including description of steps line by line.

The JavaMAIL API is the standard mechanism for sending email. See the JavaMail on http://java.sun.com/products/javamail/

Thanks for your help. i need one more thing. i downloaded javamail API. can you tell how to install it means the folder and all where i has to put the required files to work it properly

You don't send emails from JSP pages (yes, you can but you shouldn't). JSP are meant for display purposes, not performing business logic.

Javamail is a standard part of J2EE, therefore a full featured server will have it for use by servlets and EJB (for example).
