Hello all, I've been working in S.F. bay area for five years as a Sr. Software Engineer with SCJP, SCJD. Now the job market is really bad here, I even could not get a single interview during last 3 months after I submitted handreds of resume. feel like the competition here is too high, so I was thinking about moving to other states, just wonder which U.S. location is relative good for landing a java job. Thanks

When the NASDAQ picks up, so will the Java market.

James: - About the only job market sector in the IT field that seems to be hiring - are the defense contractors. - Right now - you gotta go where the work is. So you can't be too particular. - I currently live in Denver, CO - which 2 yrs ago was an unbelievably hot market. But a recent look at the Denver Post want ads, shows only 2 Java jobs - and they want more PeopleSoft or Oracle database experience than anything. So go figure. - Once I get done fishing for the year - I plan on a major search of the Java job market again. Currently, enjoying unemployment benefits. Nice to get paid to fish - as I say. Shame they only last for 9 months. Johnny (jpcoxey@aol.com)
