Hi.
Consider the following scenario :
I'm a company and I'm developing a new product, when is product is available, I want to send emails to all subscribed developers (each mail should be customized -the reciever name for example-).
How to do this batch mailing ?
Any available tools or frameworks ?

So you need two things: something to send emails and something to generate customaized messages based on some sort of template. Have you considered JavaMail and Velocity?

Is it ok to get the data from the database as objects (Yes, I use Hibernate)and then the loop is responsible for sending an email for each object ?

Well, given what we know about your requirements, its very difficult to say much about how the application may perform. That part is up to you. There is nothing inherent in any of the technology choices before you that will definately cause performance issues.

James is a mail server, so it might be helpful if you don't have any other mail server that you could use.
