I need to set up James mail server and a client for my project purpose. Does anyone has any tutorial regarding the same? Please help me.

A quick start guide is part of the James wiki. The documentation is rather extensive with regard to installation and configuration. For the client side (the JavaMail API), check out this tutorial.
