It depends really. If it is two half years ago, they would be dying to get you. However, the timing is different, who knows what is in their heads?
Nowadays, they are trying hard to eliminate resumes. JavaRanch Sheriff on resume will certainly be noticed, but it can be the reason for either ways. Specially for contracors, who are paid by hours... If three people are decision makers, and only one is not in favor of the sheriff stuff, I think it could be fatal in the current job market.
I think that the OpenSource participation will only go the positive way though.
