How to read html file?

Hi Friends,
I want to read a html file (which has links to plenty of .gif and .jpeg ) through my java file,and send that html file by e-mail using Java mail.
So here I am in little bit confuse in reading HTML file.How i shoud read HTML file either using Byte streams or charecter streams.
I am thankful to you if any of u can give solution to my problem

This program get's an HTML file and saves it to disk. It may help you a little.
