new ads

I think I might have found a source for ads for us that are a little cooler than the google adsense stuff.

If we see anything that doesn't sound like a fit, we can block it.

This is just a trial run for a few days to see if we like it better.

Any opinions?

Yes, they are different. Like MetLife and Ask Jeeves.

I was thrown for a loop when I saw Metlife. I was thinking, Paul just got Metlife to buy advertising on JavaRanch, what a coup, and I don't see how they would expect much response here.

Is it, or what is grepblogs? It seems to alway hang when it is waiting for a response from that site.

grepblogs are the guys managing the banners. At least - it's the guy I talk to.

So far, I'm really not liking it. Too many banners that I don't care for.
