What qualified my post to be "yanked" from the board, may I ask?

Did you post it in the wrong place perhaps? Here is a better forum for these questions.

My question pertained to an error I was getting when compiling a bit o' code. 2 of 3 files compiled fine...it was the 3rd one that gave me fits. I was asking someone to take a look at it and perhaps recommend a solution.

I figure I was more likely to get assistance here as it is geared for a tad more advanced issues. None-the-less, if anyone could assist me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You posted two copies of the same question in two different forums, which is against our site policy. I deleted one without comment, making a judgement as to which one was in a more suitable forum. Often I'll make a note in a surviving copy when I do this; this time I didn't.

Anyway, don't do that. One copy of a question, please. See here for an explanation why.

Wasn't there a post about "what questions are considered intermediate/advanced?" last month? Oh well, I'm guessing it was moved because its sample code that is broken because of missing classes, which is a common beginner problem, but who really knows what our bartenders are thinking?

You are free to ask, if you care - it's more likely to lead to the correct answer than guessing.

Anyway, I'm moving this to the JavaRanch forum...
