taglib directive in XML style JSPs

Is there an equivalent to (for example)

for XML JSPs?
I have looked at the JSP 1.2 specs and cannot see any. As a guess I tried:

which did not work.

This doesn't work like this. You need to change it to a namespace (xmlns :p refix) declaration....
Check the JSP 1.2 specs, which provides and example in JSP.5.5 on page 91-93.

As a followup to this:
Is it possible to have expression based attributes in XML style pages?
Eg, an equivalent to:

where count is an expression?
I have checked Carl's newsletter and the 1.2 spec.
