Could someone please tell me the easiest way possible to send an email confirmation from a JSP upon a submit button being pressed?
If possible, I would like the email client to be automatically detected and used (like the html mailto).
I am using Apache TOmcat as my server at the moment, but do not want the code to be specific to this. PLEASE HELP!

Uml God,
Javaranch has a naming policy which is strictly enforced. Please read this policy and change your display name to one that complies if you wish to continue posting here. Thanks.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
