Recently I browsed the JavaPro's website and the question came to my mind is why they were using ASP instead of JSP if they were really javapro. Is there any technical reason behind it??
and why javaranch is also using cgi tehnologies instead of java technologies??
Please clarify my queries

It is real simple - we are not promoting a religion here, just trying to get some work done. A real programmer will work with the tools at hand. My mock java exams at www.lanw.com/java/javacert record results with a Perl script I wrote before we even installed a servlet engine on that system. It works, so I won't change it unless I redesign the system.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
