Can someone explain me more abt extends attribute in page attribute. How to use it and why it should not be used

It denotes the parent class of the resulting servlet. Most of the time it's not needed. The generated servlet will extend HttpServlet. If you have a class that extends httpservlet you can just extend that class then.
