Hi,
Is there any limitations on JSP file size. Read somewhere that it should not exceed 64KB.
IF true, what is the reason?
Thanx in adv.

In a Java Virtual Machine (JVM), the size of a single method is limited to 64KB. A JSP page compiles, under most first-generation JSP translators, to a single method. (Note that the size of this method isn't necessarily related to the size of the page's output; a JSP page can easily output more than 64k worth of data. But a page with, say, two-thousand JSP tags would be likely to run afoul of the limit.) Newer JSP translators, such as Jasper2, go to greater lengths to avoid this problem and make it less noticeable in most situations.

This was a truly helpful post if you ask me. You learn something new every day! Thanks, Shawn! I won your book this week, so I'm looking forward to reading it soon!
