It does work when I visit a HTML file that contains "FileSystemObject" from my local computer.
But when I put that HTML file onto TOMCAT or JRUN , it shows error in IE msgBox.
My JScript Code is like this:
function FileSize()
{
fso = new ActiveXObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
a = fso.getFile('E:/tr_work/develop/web/sample/top.html');
alert(a.size);
return;
}

Thanks for participating here at the Ranch. However, the name you are using does not comply with our naming convention described at http://www.javaranch.com/name.jsp . Please log in with a new name, which meets these requirements.
You can change your name here.
Thanks.
