what is error 500???

Hi every body ,
when I wrote a simple jsp file that use a
cloudescape database and jdbc classes and
interfaces,I encountered error 500.

There is a listing of error codes in the Javadocs for the HttpServletResponse class.
500 = internal server error

500 - Internal server error is an HTTP error code. It indiacates that the client request is ok but the server could not handle it due to some internal error.
Likely to be caused by some unhandled exception in your JSP
