Using jsp:plugin in a WAR

I am having difficulty using <jsp: plugin> to display an applet in my JSP, which are bundled in a WAR and deployed on WebLogic 7.0. Specifically, the browser generates a ClassNotFoundException upon loading the JSP.
The applet's name is com.simtrade.admin.Admin.class, and I have placed it in the com/simtrade/admin directory of the WAR file's root directory (where the JSP resides)
I wrote the plugin tag as follows:
<jsp lugin type="applet"
code="Admin.class"
codebase="com/simtrade/admin"
width="400"
height="250">
<jsp:fallback>You... disappoint me, Mr. Anderson...</jsp:fallback>
</jsp lugin>

I am curious as to what I am doing incorrectly. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jon
