2 buttons to submit/update information

I posted a question yesterday with subject 2 jsp buttons. I received one reply that was somewhat helpful but I need more functionality. Please refer to my previous post to view my code. Is there anyone out there that can at least point me in the right direction? I'm at a loss and coming up on a deadline. Help!!! Thanks in advance.
