I would store the user's profile in the database, have a bean that retrieves/updates the profile and set it in session scope.

Thanks Calina for the tip. I am doing this for a company's internal website. so the user preference must be stored in a central database server and retrieved, right?. Is there any example where I can refer to? Thanks, Priyha
