where to keep jsp files in Javawebserver

hi,
i kept my jsp file in public-html.After that what i have to do to run the Jsp file.can i directly go to browser and run the Jsp file.if i do so,it is giving error like"File not found".

Hi,
i think you have requested the wrong URL. It is not like in IIS where public-html is your root folder. Here it is your application folder. Assuming the following structure:
myapp--
--public-html
--myjsp.jsp
--WEB-INF
then you would have to request:
http://<hostname>:<port>/myapp/public-html/myjsp.jsp
to get your jsp.
Normally i start putting my jsp's under the root
folder and then group them logical in sub directories.
