First Time compiling JSP

I am using Dreamweaver as editor.... I tried to print out
my superbasic hello world, the code (i hope) was right..it was just
It didn't work ! I don' t know why.

It didn't work ! I don't know why.

Neither does anyone else. You'll need to fill us in on a lot more detail than you have given for anyone to be able to help you.
For example: what do you mean by "It didn't work"? Did it give you an error? A blank page? Cause your computer to burst into flame?
What servlet container are you using? Can you run the example JSPs?
Where did you put your JSP file? How are you addressing it?
And so on...
You'll find lots of people here who are willing to help you out, but you need to do your part first.

as far as i know IIS doesn't run JSP because it's a microsoft product and they are
there may be a plugin or whatnot but by far the easiest solution is to install
Apache Tomcat
(which is free)
