create a blob and wite blob to browsers

Hi ,
I want to build a html text and write to string .Then i want to store the string as blob in oracle database. I wnat to retrive the blob and give excel extension and finnaly send it to browser.

Is there any part of this that you are having particular difficulty with? Also, as far as I know, excel doesn't open html documents.

BLOB implies bytes rather than characters. Since JSP is entirely oriented to making character pages, you should use a servlet to send byte data. In addition to the extension you would have to set content type and length headers. If you want Excel to read text, use comma delimited or tab delimited lines.
