Reading Pro JSP I came accross the jsp-config elements that I was unaware of before:

It works great. I am just wondering if anyone can suggest any reason(s) I wouldn't want to perform my includes this way.

Only the usual answer that these are request-time includes, so if you really need a source-level include you should still use <%@include file='x'%> or build-time templating.
