hi
i have a jsp application which is using an include file to pull in another jsp within the same application.
i have to change it so that it points to an external application but
"urls to the include directive are always relative to the context of the application and
cannot contain
a protocol name, port number or domain name."
is there anyway i can pull an include from another application (regardless of domain name etc) into a jsp file ?
cheers
chris

Aside from writing your own "suck-it-in" servlet (not all that difficult), you might want to investigate using the <c:import> tag from the JSTL.

or if you are not on a server that supports JSTL and don't wish to roll your own try the one from apache (jakarta) Jakarta Apache IO Taglibs

Not saying that this is not a valid choice, but how would installing the Jakarta I/O taglib be any different from installing the JSTL?
