I've seen number of sites have file extension .jhtml. What does it mean? Is it related to JSP?

thanks,
Alex

I found couple of articles on how to use it and it seems jhtml is very similar to JSP. I mean as JSP it's compiled into servlet. So why was jhtml created?

and was never endorsed by Sun, being limited to a few servers from one or two manufacturers.
Of course nothing stops people from calling JSP files jhtml and setting their application servers to call the JSP processor on encountering files with that extension.
