JSP Popup Object

I have a servlet when instantiates a database object (which uses a javabean to store each record returned from the database results). The servlet creates an arraylist of the javabeans & outputs each bean as a row within a html table. this all works fine.
I want to be able to click on a link that's contained within each row of the table in order to generate a popup jsp. The popup needs to contain a variable from the particular bean (that's not shown within the table). How can i pass the bean object from the generated page to the popup jsp?

how you are passing control from the generated page to the popup jsp??

we can do it with session object.
we can also go for url rewriting

In order to open the popup, i am using the following code within the servlet:

"<a href=\"javascript op('/interface/pop.jsp" + "?ProcNum=" + bean.getProcNum() + "&ProcName=" + bean.getProcName() + "');\">Detail</a>"

Many thanks
