when i installed tomcat5.0,they were automatically installed in the <catalina_home>/common/lib/*.I also tried putting this in my classpath:

C:\Tomcat 5.0\common\lib\commons-dbcp-1.2.1.jar;C:\Tomcat 5.0\common\lib\commons-pool-1.2.jar;C:\Tomcat 5.0\common\lib\commons-collections-3.1.jar;C:\Tomcat 5.0\common\lib;

But it still throws the same error,help me please.

Tomcat doesn't use your classpath.

I'm not sure what's causing this. Maybe the structure of the jar in Tomcat has changed over different versions.

You might want to ask in the Apache/Tomcat forum.

Also, before you spend too much time hunting this down, you might want to look into the container managed connection pool that you already have available to you with Tomcat:

I agree. Here's the link: http://aspose.com/file-tools
