Hi,
Assuming that we have to applications on the same application server, would it be possible for us to access session variables across these two web applications?I am guessing the answer is no.

Any ideas will be welcome.

Thanks
KR

Short answer: No.

There have been a lot of people asking about this lately on this and on the Servlet forum. Searching both should bring up some good explanations and workarounds (hacks) for accomplishing the same thing.

"KrishRads",

There aren't may rules that have been put into place here on the Ranch, but one that we take very seriously regards the use of proper names. Please take a look at the JavaRanch Naming Policy and adjust your display name to match it.

In particular, your display name must be a first and a last name separated by a space character, and must not be obviously fictitious.

Thanks!

Yes, It is not possible. To solve this proble u have to pass the required information with the url. U can forwar and include the page of one application to another for that u have required the referance of context of the anothere application to wchi u want to include or forward.
