Find who send the request

Hi Friends,

Please help me to solve my problem.

I am calling a validation servlet from multiple jsps. now, if in case of error i want to redirect it bac to caller servlet so how can i find the sender......

Either use the REFERER header using HttpServletRequest.getHeader(), or send the page name as parameter in the URL from each JSP page.

Use String uri = request.getRequestURI();

I think the request URI would be the servlet that is called, not the JSP where the request originates.
