Hi all,
i would like to know whether JSTL can be used to access methods (not the getters) on implicit objects, and if so - how?
For instance, i would like to access the "getInitParameter(param)" on the implicit object "pageContext.servletConfig" .
Kindly send me suggestions.
Regards,
Naresh

No, you cannot call any instance method that does not follow the JavaBean accessor (getter) pattern.

The EL is not intended to be a general-purpose programming language, and that is by design to help people migrate away from performing processing on the pages and move it back into the controller where it belongs.
