Hello,
I am an intermediate level java developer.I would like to get started with web development.
Which books do you recommend?

There aren't many rules that you need to worry about here on the Ranch, but one that we take very seriously regards the use of proper names. Please take a look at the JavaRanch Naming Policy and adjust your display name to match it.

In particular, your display name must be a first and a last name separated by a space character, and must not be obviously fictitious.

though i am not an experienced devoloper, still i can make a suggestion.I go for "Head First Servlet and Jsp" by sierra and bates.
The book in single term is "Mind Blowing".

You can also search this and the Servlets forum with keywords "book" and/or "books". This question gets asked at least once a week so you'll find plenty of thread with discussions/opions about the various books that are out there.
