i have one web-inf\app.tld file is available

i configured in web.xml,

<taglib>
<taglib-uri>/WEB-INF/tlds/app.tld</taglib-uri>
<taglib-location>/WEB-INF/tlds/app.tld</taglib-location>
</taglib>

but i got the error in web.xml

invalid content was found starting with element 'taglib'

pls rectify this i am using displaytag

and <disply:table> ----- i got unknow tag error

You have to follow the rules of how a web.xml is laid out. Are you using a 2.3 DOCTYPE or a 2.4 XML Schema declaration for your web.xml.

By the way, I usually recommend not declaring tld files in the web.xml at all. It's better to just use the URI of the tld directly unless you have a good reason to override it.
