How do you pass HTML form element as a value to the setProperty directive.
The value must a form element

<jsp:setProperty name="" value=""/>

I am trying to stick in the document.form[0].somename.value to the value attribute in the jsp:setProperty directive

One is client-side and one is server-side. Or are you talking about after form submission?
