performance wise which is better jsp or servlets

i think for the first time jsp takes long time since it have to convert to servlet,so jsp might be faster is it true

Once translated, which you can perform up-front if it's an issue, any performance difference will be marginal.

You should use servlets for the things servlets are good for, and JSPs for the things that JSPs are good for, and stop worrying about negligible performance metrics.
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
