recursion of database operation in jsp

im having a page_master table containg pagename,pageparent,....coumns
i have to diplay the pagename under its respective parent pagename for this i wrote the code in scriplet .is there any other way to do the above task as jsps must be free from bussiness logic

Please elaborate. Because your statement is a bit vague to me. I can think of many layouts.

sorry i edited the post and the revised one is

Are you using tree kind of structure?
You can use JSTL with POJO to avoid scriplets.
