Ok, I am going to try this one more time. I know there are still people that have not received books for past book promotions. So I am going to try again to get your books to you if I can. But, I have a cut off date.

If you won a book in a promotion and that promotion was on or after October 2005, then I want you to send me the following information to late DOT book AT javaranch DOT com.

Your Name - Preferrably the one you use on Javaranch.
Your mailing address - Preferrebly the one where you actually receive mail.
Your phone number - Publishers want this for some unknown reason
Book - The name of the book you won
Winners Thread - The link to the thread where your name was announced as the winner (if you can find it)

I will then contact the publishers once again and see what I can do. Any information I get regarding your book I will foward on to you so make sure the email address you use to send mail can also receive emails back. You scoff, but it happens.

For those of you who won a book prior to October of 2005, well, Javaranch apologizes for your loss. But just think of all the wonderful knowledge you gained from talking with the authors. I mean, isn't that what is more important than winning their book?

In all seriousness, I just can't justify an attempt to retrieve a book that old. And I don't suspect most publishers will keep records far enough back to really determine if the book was sent or not.

As for future promotions, contrary to recent suggestions, we are not going to stop them. We are going to press on and do our best. We are in the process of figuring out a better way to get the books to the winners. In the meantime, participate in the promotions, enjoy the authors, and keep your fingers crossed.

DO NOT POST YOUR INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR BOOK IN THIS THREAD! READ THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY FOR BEST RESULTS! IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY CONTACT YOUR LOCAL OPTHAMOLOGIST AND ASK FOR SOME BETTER READING GLASSES!

*Bump* in case anyone missed this. I haven't received as many emails as I assumed I would.
