In my jsp page i have several text fields and a textarea. The text area is an editor window component. It can include text files as well as image files. so i want to read that text area as input stream and save in the database as a blob. How should i read the text area only as a stream.

HTTP make no such provisions. When the form is submitted, the value of the text area will be submitted as a string value just like any other control.
