dear ranchers

I am having few years of experience in Telecom domain developing Billing systems and SMS gateway applications.....At the moment I am looking for a job in this domain in India.

Can somebody please provide me the list the Telco companies or application providers to Telcos in India........

VSNL(Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited)
MTNL(Mahanagr Telephone Nigam Limited nly for Mumbai/Delhi)

it seems there are so many players....

DO the above companies have their own development teams? As a s/w developer guy is it advisable to join the above companies?

I guess the top BIG IT companies (Infosys,Wipro,IBM,HP....etc) should be providing applications and services to these telco players.

I would like to know the list of those IT companies please......

MBT is one such company which focuses in Telecom domain.. and if you have any experience in SMSC /SMS -MMS gateway relatd technology I have ongoing requirement in my group.. in case you are interested let me know.

Any specific reason why Amdocs should be avoided, I was planning to join it I am into java/j2ee. Pls be specific..
